I have been involved with football for 7yrs, I have 2 children that play - a girl and a boy - and they enjoy the game very much. I have been a coach for 6yrs at level 1 and have completed my first aid and child protection course . I have also completed a club welfare course at the LFA and have a better understanding of the roll of club welfare officer. I am also the club welfare officer for LFC. The welfare of the child entering into a football club or any other club or organisation is always going to be priority . My roll is to make sure all volunteers within the club are CRB checked - this is done through the FA. We will not allow anyone to get involved with the children of the club who have not been cleared.
I will make sure that all managers/coaches have the correct first aid kit with them at all matches and training and that the safety of the children and spectators is followed correctly.
As a club welfare officer I will not tolerate any form of verbal, racial or physical abuse to anyone it will be dealt with immediately .
I am there for anyone who is involved with the club ( managers, parents, referees, and of course the children. All discussions with be dealt with in confidence.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any problems that may arise.
I have also been the girls league secretary for 3 yrs and now I'm the girls development officer we have over 250 girls now playing in the league and we are hoping to extend the numbers for this season, so if anyone knows of any girls who want to join HSM please let us know.
